Here, I occasionally felt like Orion was just like the female version of Lilah, and it was kind of weird to read about. Obviously he has traits which mark him as omega, but he isn’t exactly the same as a female omega, and he showers Lola with attention because she needs it, and pulls out all the stops so she knows she’s wanted. The only other omegaverse I’ve read featuring a male omega is Kathryn Moon’s Lola duet, which has Rake, and essentially I think he’s the PERFECT representation of a male omega. ❌ I have… really mixed feelings about Orion. Most of them weren’t cruel for the sake of it. I don’t think they did anything unforgiveable. I’m not happy with them currently, but I can see how – with enough grovelling – I can forgive them, and so can Lilah.

She does have a backbone and I’m looking forward to seeing it emerge more in the sequel. Submissive in a sort of omega way, but not WEAK – and there’s definitely a distinction. So even though she shows up and realises they’re her fated mates, she knows she can’t ever be with them. Obviously Orion is also angry and jealous. They love him and are furious they’re being forced to accept a new omega into their ‘pack’. The problem is the men already have an omega – it’s their male lover Orion. She’s forced however to become the live-in omega for the group of alpha men whose fathers own her. Hoping for a great grovel in the next book, though.Ģ3-year-old Lilah Darling is an omega, but she’s been keeping her ‘awakening’ – basically, coming into her omega heritage – suppressed for years, making her effectively a beta. It’s very well-written, but I couldn’t possibly give it 5 stars because the heroes don’t get their comeuppance.
